Re-creation and Development of Oldhamcounty.net Website
Magistrate Davis has discussed the current layout and functionality of www.oldhamcounty.net with various leaders and members of our community. Magistrate Davis recognizes that improvements to our county website, such as a more user-friendly layout, inclusive of informational video clips, and the addition of new, useful information topics could dramatically enhance the county’s website as a tool for all of our residents.
Expansion of Insight Channel 25
The successful improvements made to the broadcasting picture quality of Insight Channel 25 during March 2007 have created a much improved viewing experience for the many residents who routinely watch the Fiscal Court and Planning & Zoning meeting broadcasts. Magistrate Davis believes that new programming opportunities could exist for Channel 25, such as segments including activities and events from our Oldham County Schools as well as other community events.
Business Development
New commercial business and employment opportunities are much needed in Oldham County, especially as we work to develop and grow the Eden Business Park. Additionally, new ideas, programs, and incentives for start-up companies and entrepreneurs are also widely needed to attract this type of business development in Oldham County.
Geographic Information System (GIS)
Magistrate Davis and the Fiscal Court Technology Committee are working with other members regarding the redeployment of Oldham County’s GIS System. This GIS System will be a very important tool in regards to managing and making better decisions regarding our growth and infrastructure needs.

Parks and Recreation Plan
During the first quarter of 2007, the Oldham County Fiscal Court recognized the need for a comprehensive parks and recreation master plan to guide the decision making process over the 8-10 years to determine the facilities, operation, and staffing requirements to adequately meet the needs of our residents. An experienced consultant in master planning for counties throughout our region of the United States was contracted to complete a comprehensive study master plan proposal during 2007. A Citizen Steering Committee is also being established which will include representatives from the Parks and Recreation Department, Fiscal Court, Planning Commission, School District, and other community leaders.

Reintroduction of 'Rolling Hills' Oldham County Logo
Presently, multiple county logos are being used by different departments and organizations within our county. In April 2001, Fiscal Court unanimously voted to implement a new logo for Oldham County, namely the 'Rolling Hills' Logo. However, its rollout and adoption county-wide was never completed. Magistrate Davis supports re-visiting this issue and is working to reintroduce the new 'Rolling Hills' Logo in an effort to unify our county’s image both internally and around the state.
